6/10/10 - NAGLREP founder Jeff Berger and Director Eric Kodner visited Washington, DC June 2nd and met with the legal counsel of Congressman John Conyers, Jr (D-MI), and the legislative assistant to Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-WI). We also met Stacey Long of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, and representatives from the National Fair Housing Alliance. Our goal is to further advance H.R. 4820, a bill introduced to amend the federal fair housing laws to include LGBT protections.
We are proud to announce NAGLREP has joined a coalition headed by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force to advance H.R. 4820, the Fair and Inclusive Housing Rights Act of 2010. The Fair and Inclusive Housing Rights Act amends the Fair Housing Act to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
