"The Wisconsin REALTORS Association Board of Directors unanimously approved our Committee's proposal to change the NAR Code of Ethics and/or amend the federal Fair Housing Law to include sexual orientation. The proposal has been submitted to the National Association of REALTORS Interpretations and Procedures Subcommittee of the Professional Standards Committee (they have the power with regard to the Code of Ethics) and the NAR Equal Opportunity - Cultural Diversity Committee. The proposal to amend the Fair Housing Law has been referred to NAR legal counsel, we are told. This WRA proposal is going on the agenda for each of these committees for the NAR San Diego meetings on November 13-16."
Please understand... No changes to the NAR Code of Ethics/Fair Housing Law have been made at this time.. This is only information of a proposal which will officially be on the NAR San Diego agenda for November 13-16.
