Alec Mapa to Emcee NAGLREP 2017 in Palm Springs
Veteran actor and comedian Alec Mapa of Desperate Housewives fame will emcee the 2017 National LGBT Real Estate Conference on October 17-19 in Palm Springs. Ellen Degeneres has called him "smart, hilarious and funny. Variety has said "Alec Mapa is a freak. No one should be this talented." With uproarious live performances and ground breaking television roles, actor and comedian Alec Mapa has entertained audiences worldwide in every imaginable medium. Alec was awarded the prestigious Davidson Valentini GLAAD Award for promoting equal rights for the LGBT community. A tireless fundraiser Alec has toured the country on behalf of The Human Rights Campaign and The Matthew Shepard Foundation.
NAGLREP Palm Springs Website and Registration Go Live
Registration is now officially open for the 2017 National LGBT Real Estate Conference. The all-inclusive priced event moves to Palm Springs and the Riviera Resort on October 17-19. Over 100 members pre-registered last year following the 2016 event in Fort Lauderdale.

Seth Price to Keynote at 2017 Conference
Seth Price author, speaker and brand evangelist dedicated to empowering personal brand and turning recognition into revenue, will speak at the 2017 National LGBT Real Estate Conference in Palm Springs on October 17-19.

Price is the author of the book The Road to Recognition, An A-to-Z Guide to Personal Branding (with Barry Feldman), a hands-on primer about how everyone can jumpstart their professional success by leveraging a smart personal brand. He is the host of The Craft of Marketing and the Marketing Genius podcasts and a regular contributor to the Huffington Post, Marketing Profs, Realtor Magazine and Inman News.

Gautam Raghavan to Host Affecting Change Panel at NAGLREP LGBT Housing Policy Summit
As Gill Foundation Vice President of Policy, Gautam Raghavan drives the Gill Foundation's executive branch and agency efforts at both the federal and state level to ensure a level playing field for all LGBT Americans.

From 2011 to 2014, Gautam served as President Barack Obama's liaison to the LGBT community as well as the Asian American & Pacific Islander community. In this role, Gautam directed the White House's outreach around major policy developments advancing LGBT equality, including President Obama's support for marriage equality and the implementation of the Supreme Court's decision in Windsor, the signing of an Executive Order prohibiting federal contractors from discriminating against LGBT workers, the roll out and implementation of a Presidential Memorandum on international LGBT human rights, and administrative actions prohibiting LGBT discrimination in housing, healthcare, and other areas.

From 2009 to 2011, Gautam served as Deputy White House Liaison for the U.S. Department of Defense and as Outreach Lead for the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Working Group, where he directed all outreach and communications with key external stakeholders, including organizations advocating for and against repeal, scholars and research institutions with relevant expertise, and gay and lesbian military families and veterans.

NAGLREP Podcast Spotlights John Graff
NAGLREP Success, a podcast series featuring the talents of LGBT real estate agents who serve the LGBT community, spotlights NAGLREP Policy Committee Chair John Graff whose edge for politics is leading the way for the association's first ever Housing Policy Summit on March 14.

Graff decided to get into real estate after a 10-year career in politics where he worked in public policy and outreach with candidates and elected officials ranging from Members of Congress and even President of the United States. Most recently Graff served as policy director for the nation's second largest school district, the Los Angeles Unified School District. Tune into the podcast here and learn more about John.
