7/14/10 -In early 2008, NAGLREP staff was researching the NAR Code of Ethics in our effort to amend the code to include sexual orientation as a protected class. We soon met like minded Realtor Eric Kodner on Active Rain as he had blogged about the topic. Eric joined NAGLREP, we spoke to NAR staff to discuss a plan of action, and the rest is history. Eric Kodner was interviewed by Realtor Magazine during NAGLREP's visit to the NAR midyear meetings in May 2010, in which our proposal along with the Wisconsin Realtor Association to amend the NAR Code of Ethics was unanimously approved by NAR Professional Standards Committee, and later approved by NAR's Board of Directors. We look forward to a final vote on the proposed amendment by the NAR delegate body November 8th during NAR New Orleans 2010. Please see the Realtor Magazine July-August edition interview below.
